Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium The site of the state's first fish hatchery (1882), the old hatch house is now a fish management museum, and there is an interesting geologic display nearby. Nominal admission is charged for adults and children age 6-15. Children age 5 and under are admitted free. Summer hours are 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. In winter the aquarium is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and holidays. In fall and spring, it is closed Tuesdays and Thanksgiving
