Hunter Education - Youth Outdoor Skills Camps
Online
Registration
Each
year, nearly 200 youth from across the state take part in the Youth Outdoor
Skills Camps which the NGPC administers in cooperation with 4H. Kids between
the ages 11 and 15 explore the excitement and challenge of outdoor skills.
outh spend their time learning rifle, shotgun, muzzleloader, archery, fishing,
canoeing, hiking, camping, and much more while enjoying a traditional camp
atmosphere.
All workshops provide youth with a safe, knowledgeable, and ethical introduction into many life-long skills needed to join the ranks of the millions of men and women who participate in outdoor recreation each year. Instructors also provide advanced instruction for those youth that may have been introduced to a specific discipline already.
Quality instructors are the key to such a successful program and no short cuts are taken here. Hands-on workshops are organized and administered by Nebraska Game and Parks biologists, specialists, staff, conservation officers, and Hunter Education instructors. A positive interaction is had by all. Your classmates will be anxious to tell you about their vacation. Wait until you tell them what you did this summer.
