The Apprentice Certificate

An Apprentice Hunter Education Exemption Certificate is available once in your lifetime for those who must have but have not yet completed the education requirements. Firearm and crossbow hunters under age 12 or those using an exemption  certificate can never hunt alone and must be accompanied at all times while hunting by a licensed hunter age 19 or older and if that hunter is 19 through 29 they must have completed education and carry proof. Accompanied means you must be in unaided verbal and visual communications at all times.
