Game and Parks Commission Regulations (Title 163)

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission (Commission) has been given authority to promulgate Rules and Regulations by numerous statutes contained in the Revised Statutes of Nebraska. The Unicameral, which is the legislative branch of the State of Nebraska, develops laws that are approved by the Governor (executive branch) and interpreted by the courts (judicial branch).

Because of the variety of activities that the Commission oversees, it would be difficult to have statutes attempt to address every situation, thus Rules and Regulations are established. To establish Rules and Regulations the Commission must comply with the Administrative Procedure Act. Before Rules and Regulations are adopted, the Commission must give public notice, conduct a public meeting, and then approve the new Rules and Regulations.

This page displays the current Rules and Regulations promulgated by the Commission. These Rules and Regulations will be periodically updated as they are approved by the Attorney General, Governor and Secretary of State.
