Resources and Project Information

  • Missouri River Program
The goal is to restore, recover, protect, and maintain the diversity of Missouri River habitats, resources, and ecosystem functions so present and future generations can enjoy consumptive and non-consumptive outdoor recreational opportunities.

  • Hatcheries - The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission operates four fish hatcheries and one coldwater rearing station. The facilities produce warm, cool and coldwater fish species to be stocked in Nebraska's waters.

  • Invasive Species -Invasive species jeopardize vital wildlife and fish habitat, threatening two of Nebraska's oldest traditions – hunting and fishing. It is critical to protect the habitats that support wildlife and fisheries.

  • A 20 year Plan for Hunter/Angler Recruitment, Development and Retention
