A 20-Year Plan: Recruitment, Development and Retention in Nebraska
Since 1997, declining participation rates for hunters and anglers threaten what were once family traditions, and jeopardize the future of fish and wildlife conservation by reducing social, political, biological and financial support. This program hopes to tap into stakeholders that:
•Understand and actively participate in stewardship and support of natural resources
•Understand, accept and/or lawfully participate in hunting and/or fishing
•Understand the need for and actively support funding for fish and wildlife conservation —By removing barriers to participation, ensuring abundant resources, and reaching citizens through marketing and education.
